Bristol Announces 2021 Fall Paving Program

The City of Bristol’s Public Works Department has released its schedule for the 2021 fall paving program which will be completed in two phases. “The initial phase consists of milling off the existing pavement of the road,” said Public Works Director Raymond Rogozinski. “The second phase consists of installing a new roadway surface and will commence shortly after the first phase.  Once construction is complete, the City will repair any affected driveway aprons.”

The 2021 fall roadway paving program begins on August 31 or September 1 and will be completed by the fall. The following streets will be milled and then paved:

        Carpenter Avenue                              Louisiana Avenue
        Morris Avenue                                    West Washington Street
Washington Street                             Church Avenue (to pavement change)
        Hooker Court                                      Judd Street
        Stewart Street                                    Eastwood Road
        Whippoorwill Lane                            Belgian Circle
        Daisy Circle                                         Lantern Hill Road
        Muir Avenue                                      Sherbrooke Street
        Rose Street                                         Christine Road
        Hannah Street                                    Hidden Brook Drive
        Winding Brook Road                         Braeburn Road
        Swanson Drive                                    Terrace Lane
        Hartford Avenue                                 Maywood Lane
        Nelson Farm Road                              Woodside Way
        Wilderness Way

“There may be minor traffic delays during construction, however roads will remain open for mail delivery, emergency vehicles, and local traffic at all times,” said Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu. “Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted as needed during construction.”
