CITY ANNOUNCES REHABILITATION OF MELLEN STREET BRIDGE PROJECT 
 

(BRISTOL, CT) – The City of Bristol announces the rehabilitation of the Mellen Street Bridge over the Pequabuck River. Mellen Street from Memorial Boulevard to Riverside Avenue (Route 72) will be closed for the duration of the project.

Construction activities will begin August 1, 2023 with the project scheduled for completion by June of 2024. 

Detours are being put in place at the Mellen Street Bridge as they start construction. Road closures will begin August 1, 2023. Your cooperation in avoiding the area during the duration of the project is appreciated.
