Book Collection

In an effort to reduce unnecessary waste at the City's Transfer Station, the Public Works Department will host a Book Collection during the months of June and July.

Residents are asked to bring books in good/gently-used condition to City Hall, 111 North Main Street (Ground Floor) during business hours (Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.). There will also be collections on July 27th and August 3rd during the Farmers Market from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. located across the street from City Hall.

After the sorting process, books will be donated to the Bristol Parks & Recreation Summer Camp and the Friends of Bristol Public Library. Books that cannot be shared with these organizations will be sent to Better World Books in order for them to be recycled properly.

For more information, please contact the Department of Public Works at 860-584-6125.
