What We Offer
The Bristol Senior Center is committed to providing high quality services in the fields of medicine and well being for our patrons. Please feel free to contact us at (860) 584-7895 if you have any questions about the below items.

**New ** Social Security Video Service

The Social Security Administration will now offer their new Video Service Delivery program at the Bristol Senior Center.  This service will be available to Bristol residents every Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.  People needing to speak with a Social Security employee will be able to do so.  Video conferencing equipment has been set up at the Senior Center for residents  so they can speak face to face with the Social Security employee.  Appointments will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.  This service is being made available as a result of the Social Security office closing back in January.  The Bristol Senior Center is located at 240 Stafford Avenue, Bristol, CT  06010.  For further information please call the Senior Center at (860)584-7895 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Staff member, Sue Bergeron is on board to help with Benefits Check-up counseling and Medicare Part D help.

Trained Choices volunteers and our staff will be happy to assist you in determining whether you qualify for any extra help paying for some of your medications/medical premiums and possibly your deductibles.
Applications are available in the office.

If you need help with any questions after hours, please call 2-1-1, representatives are on hand to answer questions 24 hours a day.
Dial-A-Ride
The Bristol Community Organization van is available to the Bristol Senior Center Mondays from 9:45 AM with the last pickup at 1:00 PM and Tuesday through Friday from 9:45 AM with pickups at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

AARP Mature Driver Course
The first Thursday of the month except for January & February
Cost:   $15.00 - AARP Members
           $20.00 - Non AARP Members
Class meets for 1 day from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Space is limited.  Please sign up in advance.

AARP Income Tax Assistance
February through April (before the 15th)
Fridays  8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Income taxes are done for seniors at no cost.
Wellness Foot Clinic
Wednesdays  9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Foot care fee is $18.00

Dental Clinic
Thursdays & Fridays  8:15 AM to 3:00 PM
Screening and cleaning fee is $50.00
Dental forms can be picked up at the Main Office of the Senior Center
Dental referrals to participating dentists who charge on a sliding scale.

Blood Pressure Screening
Tuesdays 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Free and no appointment is necessary.
Congregate Meals Program
Lunch is served Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. The menu is available at the Senior Center. You must register 24 hours in advance by calling (860) 582-5928.
Monday through Friday  12:00 PM
Fee is $2.50 (60 years and over)
Fee for guest under 60 years is $5.00
Meals on Wheels Program
Meals are delivered from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Monday through Friday

Reiki
Karen DeVille R.P.T., E.M.T. will be giving Reiki Sessions once a month.  Reiki is the ancient laying-on of hands healing technique that uses the life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies. One Monday a month - 9:00am-1:00pm $15.00 for a 20 minute session. Sign up in the main office or call 860-584-7895 and make a reservation!



Reflexology
Kimberly Stewart, a Nationally Certified Reflexologist will be holding sessions once a month. Reflexology is a scientific art based on the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all parts of the body. Come and see how this process can help reduce stress and bring about relaxation. One Friday a month 9:00-11:30am $15.00 for a 20 minute session. Sign up in the main office or call and make a reservation! 



Health Screenings
Hearing, Balance, Memory, and other health related screenings are available at different times throughout the year. Call the main office at 860-584-7895 for a list of the current screenings available.
