Weekend Events and Road Closures

The Veterans Memorial Boulevard will be closed from Saturday, May 27th (at approximately 6 AM) and remain closed through the weekend until Monday, May 29 – reopening at approximately 9 PM.

Forestville Memorial Day Parade: Sunday, May 28th at 2:30 PM
(Rain Date: Monday, May 29th at 2:30 PM)
The Forestville Memorial Day Parade is sponsored by the American Legion Post 209, the parade will take place in Forestville.

Memorial Day Procession: Monday, May 29th at 10:00-10:30 AM
The procession will begin on Hope Street in downtown Bristol and will end at the entrance to the Veterans Memorial Boulevard bridge. Hosted by the Bristol Veterans Council and American Legion Post 2. Contact Information: 860-378-4561

Dedication of the Veterans Memorial Bridge: Monday, May 29th at 10:30-10:45 AM (immediately following the Memorial Day Procession)
The new Veterans Memorial Boulevard Bridge will be dedicated. Remarks will be made to celebrate the completion of the bridge and announce other projects on the Boulevard. Speakers will include Mayor Caggiano; Director of Public Works, Raymond Rogozinski; and Superintendent of Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services, Joshua Medeiros.
