On Monday, November 25, 2024, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will continue our 2024 hydrant flushing season. The following areas may be affected:
Pine Meadow Drive, Cindy Lane, Glendale Drive, Glenview Drive, Woodcrest Drive, Glendale Drive, Apple Rd, Oehler Drive, Hart Street, Boy Street, Maxine Road, El Toro Drive, Del Prado Drive, Maheu Street, Claire Street, Marlene Street, Pondview Lane, Burlington Avenue, North Pond Street Ext., Birge Road, Jennings Road, Cypress Street, Beech Street, North Pond Street, Pilgrim Road, Fern Hill Rd, Oakridge Road, Vanderbilt Rd, Sharon Street, Lexington Street, Fairfield Street, Medford Street, Fairlawn Street, Lewis Road, Vanderbilt Road and some of the surrounding areas. We will continue flushing this area until the next area is posted.
We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
