The 2023 Yard Waste Season will begin Monday, April 3, 2023 and will run through Friday, December 1, 2023. Unfortunately, this fee is not pro-rated. If you do not have a 2023 sticker on your barrel on April 3rd, it will not be emptied.
RENEWING CUSTOMERS: If you already have a yard waste barrel (even if from a previous owner), please select "Renew Yard Waste Service." The renewal fee is $90.00 for the season. Renewal stickers will be mailed when the digital subscription form and payment are received. Yard Waste service must be renewed each season.
NEW CUSTOMERS: We are able to accept NEW subscribers at this time. If you do not have a yard waste barrel at the property, please select "New Yard Waste Service." New customers are required to pay the $90.00 yard waste service fee, plus a $50.00 barrel deposit fee (per new barrel). Your barrel will be delivered in the Spring (with a 2023 sticker applied to the barrel), once both the digital subscription form and your payment are received. The barrel deposit fee applies only to new customers who do not have a yard waste barrel at the property, and does not include renewing customers. You will be refunded the barrel deposit fee when you are permanently done using the service and the barrel is returned in good condition.

If you need assistance filling out the form, or would like us to fill out the form for you over the phone, please call our office. Your service will be activated once both the subscription form and your payment are received, and the 2023 sticker is applied to your barrel.
You may pay online (once the subscription form is submitted, it will automatically re-direct you to Invoice Cloud to pay – please select either "New" if you need a yard waste barrel, or "Renew" if you already have a yard waste barrel). All online payments are subject to a 2.95% convenience fee per transaction. You can also pay by mail – envelopes must be addressed to: Public Works 111 North Main Street Bristol, CT 06010 with checks written to The City of Bristol. Or you can pay in person (after filling out the digital subscription form). We are temporarily in the Police Department building while City Hall is undergoing renovations. We are on the 2nd floor, where the courthouse was located. The GPS address is 131 North Main Street. There is a convenience fee of 2.95% for all IN-OFFICE credit/debit card payments.
If you are no longer interested in receiving yard waste service and have a yard waste barrel, please call our office to have it retrieved.
