On Thursday, April 13, 2023, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will start flushing hydrants in the following areas:
Brook Street, Rathburn Road, Carol Drive, Westchester Drive, Ladyslipper Lane, Brookside Drive, Morningside Drive East and West, Lancaster Road, Boardman Road, Collins Road, and some portions of Stafford Avenue will also be affected.
We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas through Friday, April 14, 2023, starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
