On Monday, May 1, 2023, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will continue flushing hydrants in the following areas:
Stafford Avenue, Acorn Lane, Windham Road, Goshen Court, Danbury Lane, Windsor Lane, Stevens Street, Jefferson Avenue, Coolidge Avenue, Mare Road, Adna Road, Shawn Drive, Falls Brook Road, Sherwood Road, and some of the surrounding areas.
We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
