On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will continue flushing hydrants in the following areas:
Maple Avenue, Oaken Road, Burlington Avenue, Shrub Road, Intervale Road, Alba Drive, Round Hill Road, Woodfield Road, Sperry Road, Ashley Road, Long Lane, Rossi Drive, Simpkins Drive, Nutmeg Road, Orleans Drive, Rhoda Lane, Woodside Way, Wilderness Way, and some of the surrounding areas. We will continue flushing this area until the next area is posted.
We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
