[ARCHIVED] Hydrant Flushing Notice starting August 21, 2023

Hydrant Flushing (2)

On Monday, August 21, 2023, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will continue flushing hydrants in the following areas:

***Due to the emergency repairs from last week, hydrant flushing schedule may look like a repeat, but it is not***

Terryville Road, Divinity Street, Landry Street, Park Street, Barnes Street, Jacobs Street, Peck Lane, Patton Drive, Maywood Lane, Marconi Avenue, Newell Avenue, Rockwell Avenue, Greene Street, Colony Street, Field Street, Earl Street, Locust Street, Chestnut Street, Gridley Street, Melville Street, Allen Street, Judson Avenue, Magnolia Avenue, Geary Avenue, South Street Ext., Driscoll Drive, Woodard Drive, Mossa Drive, and some of the surrounding areas.  We will continue flushing this area until the next area is posted.

We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
