On Monday, November 4, 2024, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will continue our 2024 hydrant flushing season. The following areas may be affected:
Harvard Place, Chapel Street, Pinnacle Road, Hopmeadow Road, Penwood Place, Hill Street, Aldbourne Drive, Treble Road, Hill Street, Knob Hill Lane, Hill Street, Cidermill Road, Marsh Road, Royal Drive, Chippenwood Drive, Perkins Street, Great Pyrenees Way, Southdown Road, Larkspur Lane, Suffolk Place, Skyview Terrace, and some of the surrounding areas. We will continue flushing this area until the next area is posted.
We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
