[ARCHIVED] EMERGENCY WATER MAIN REPAIR - WOLCOTT STREET

EMERGENCY CONSTRUCTION NOTICE

On Friday, December 13, 2024, the water on Wolcott Street between Peck Lane and Crown Street will be shut down after 2:00 PM to repair a water main break.

We will begin excavating the area this morning but are planning not to shut water off until after Bristol Central High School closes. South Side School should not be affected by this shutdown.

Surrounding areas may also experience a period of low water pressure.  When the water is turned back on you may experience some discolored water. If you do experience discolored water, please run an outside faucet or the cold water only in the bathtub until the water clears.

A water filling station is located at the Water Filtration Plant and is available to any customers who are affected by an extended service interruption 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. There is no charge to customers affected by the water service interruption. Customers will need to bring their own containers and Filtration Plant Operators will assist in filling them. The Water Filtration Plant is located at 1080 Terryville Avenue and the number to the plant is (860) 583-6504. It would be appreciated if customers could call the plant in advance of arrival.

We are sorry for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation during this shutdown.

Sincerely,

Bristol Water and Sewer Department
