[ARCHIVED] 2018 Police Officers of the Year

2018 Police Officers of the Year

Officers Zachary Levine & Dustin Demonte have been selected as Bristol's Police Officers of the Year for 2018. They were selected based on their actions from June 14, 2018 about 0950 hours. Both officers responded to a medical call on Goodwin Street. It was reported that a man was in a locked bathroom and was not responding to his wife. Levine entered the bathroom and found the male victim unconscious. The male was in cardiac arrest and Levine started CPR and called for assistance. Shortly after, Officer Dustin Demonte arrived and both officers began two-person CPR. During the CPR, the victim regained a pulse and began to breathe on his own. He was transported to a medical facility for treatment. The victim ultimately survived and he is doing well. The officers received a lifesaving commendation for their quick response and swift actions. The officers will be honored by the Bristol Exchange Club at their annual dinner on March 21, 2019.
