[ARCHIVED] Life Saving Commendation

2019 Award for Officers Demonte & Kasparian

On February 26, 2019 Officers Dustin Demonte and Jason Kasparian were detailed to a medical call on Wilderness Way. It was reported that a 74-year-old person was having difficulty breathing. Before the officers arrived on scene, the victim went into cardiac arrest in her home. Utilizing an AED, the officers administrated a shock to the victim. However, it did not appear to be effective and the officers started 2-person CPR. As EMS arrived at scene, the victim regained her pulse and began to breathe on her own. The officers saved her life. Officer Dustin Demonte and Officer Jason Kasparian were awarded a lifesaving commendation at the April Board of Police Commission meeting.
